How to boost your immunity at home ? | CoVID-19

The pandemic of CoVID-19 has made a situation of full country lockdown in India for the next 21 days. Work from Home Culture, Avoiding a visit to public places, keeping your self clean and surrounding sanitized is the most important daily routine that must be followed by every individual. Here, a very vital question comes in mind that what to eat and what to avoid in lockdown conditions at home?
What are the eatable thing which can help in improving the immunity of the person? Also how to avoid Fever-Coughs in this season?

If you are staying at home to prevent yourself from CoVID-19 and have started to work from home, and you have self-quarantined yourself then you can utilize your time in such a situation. Maintaining good daily routine and healthy food can not only prevent you from CoVID-19 but will also help in improving your immunity.

What to Do?

1. Eat food timely, but also keep in mind that the body requires fewer calories when daily activities and body exercise gets reduced while staying at home. Eat the only the required amount of food that is enough to keep your body healthy.
2. Add Fruits and Green vegetables in your diet as a priority.
3. Use Basil (Tulsi), Heart-leaved moonseed (Gilyo), Indian gooseberry (Amla), Turmeric (Haldi) in meals. Use Neem leaves. Taking Tulsi Tea will be a healthy option in the morning breakfast.
4. Digestion and immunity are directly connected with each other. Eat limited and light foods.
5. Eat good fats. Desi Ghee is a good intake for immunity boosting. Adding to coconut oil will also be beneficial.
6. In consideration of healthy Vitamin D, B12, Zinc, Iron, Selenium are essential minerals to consider. It will enhance a person's immunity. An abundant amount of Vitamin B12 is found in milk products, while Zinc, Iron, and selenium like minerals are present in Green Leafy Vegetables.
7. Beans and Dry Fruits like Almond, Cashew, Raisins are also a good choice to eat in boosting immunity.
8. Vitamin C plays a vital role in fighting disease. One can take it from both ways either naturally in meals or as supplements. Citrus fruits like Lemon, Oranges, Mausami, etc. have rich Vitamin C in it.
9. Garlic is a good source of Antioxidants. A compound named 'Allicin' which helps in fighting infections, boosting immunity and keeping lungs healthy is found in garlic.

What not to do?

1. Avoid eating Chicken, eggs, mutton, fish and other non-veg meals.
2. Strictly avoid consumption of cigarettes and liquors.
3. Reduce intake of whole-grain diets, it will keep your digestion fit. It will directly show its effect on your immunity.
4. Avoid Tea-Coffee, Cake-Pastry and other such eatables these days.
