Google’s RAISR stands for Rapid and Accurate Image Super Resolution
RAISR is a prototype software that incorporates machine learning in order to produce high-quality versions of low-resolution images. The program uses AI(Artificial Intelligence) for smarter up sampling. RAISR system is capable of upscaling images without aliasing, achieving increased details, all in real-time on mobile devices.
Google says that this software will enhance and upscales the pixels of the image with significant improvement in the bicubic, linear and Lanczos interpolation methods. In the above image, the left image logo is in low resolution and looks like blurred image. If we Go through the Google RAISR for this Image it will give a better quality image as in Right Side Image.
This technology is going to give a great future to us as we can enhance our pictures of old camera phones and other devices. It will help security authorities to the found thing in CCTV cameras of less resolution easily, It can be used while projecting the screen on lager screens and many more such ideas and innovations will be coming in the future after this technology.
